About Etymology Jewelry
Every jewelry piece by Etymology Jewelry is handmade in New York City by designer and owner Natalie Jacob. Each necklace, bracelet or pair of earrings includes a "mixed media" aesthetic of different materials. From textured vintage brass chains to colorful recycled fair trade beads, Natalie extracts her inspiration from the very components she uses.
The name Etymology harkens back to Natalie's jewelry making beginnings- when she was using scrabble and boggle pieces to string together words and phrases in jewelry form. The aesthetic has evolved since then but the name is a reminder of how she started.
